Local Users Configuration
In cases where it is not desired to create users on LDAP systems such as Active Directory etc. for externally supported individuals, multi-factor authentication can be provided by creating local users on Mirket. In many scenarios, such as enabling MFA on RDP connections of local users on the servers, secure access can be provided by creating a local user on Mirket.
In the Users > Local Users menu, a new user can be created, edited, or deleted.

Display Name: The name of the user that will be displayed in the interface.
User Name: The name to be given to the created user.
Local Group: The local group to which the user will be added.
Phone: The phone number of the user.
Mail Address: The email address of the user.
Password: The password to be determined for the user.
External User: If it is desired to access a server via RDP using a local user, and if Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required, we activate the 'external user' switch button while creating a local user. Thus, no password is assigned during the user creation process. There is no need to give a password because in RDP windows does the first verification itself.
Password Expire Date: Determines the expire date of the password.
In the Users > Local Users menu, created local users can be listed, searched, columns displayed, printed, filtered, or exported in CSV format.

Note: SAM information is specified in the local group. Local users acquire SAM information from the group they belong to.
With the Action button, you can test the multifactor authentication method you prefer and you can also edit the selected user. Below are descriptions of the methods:
SMS / Mirket OTP / Approve/Deny: These methods are intended for testing multifactor authentication to be applied to the selected user. Note: Remember, this is just a test phase.
QR Code: When this option is selected, a pop-up will appear. Within this pop-up, selecting the 'Generate New' option will create a QR code for the selected user. When you scan this QR code with Mirket Authenticator, it generates a code that changes every 30 seconds in the Mirket application. QR code is supported with other 3third part authenticator apps such as Google authenticator.
