Active Directory

You can access this page from the Configuration > External Source tab. On this page, you can manage all your active directories and view your active directory list. In this list, you can view the External Source, Type, Sync Status, Total User, and Valid User values of each active directory.

You can review, edit, sync, access the report page, and delete the active directory from the menu on the right side of the active directory. You can also filter the active directories using the search box.

In the External Source list, user status can be observed for the active directory created after synchronization.

Type: It shows the type of the external source.

Sync Status: It displays the status of LDAP integration.

Total User: It shows the number of users in the group on the DC.

Valid User: It displays how many of the users from the group on the DC were transferred to Mirket.

From the menu on the right side of the active directory go to the Report page for information about why rejected users were not included in Mirket can be viewed.

To create a new active directory, click the Add External Source button on the top right corner. Fill in the fields on the screen that will appear according to the description below:

Source Type: Select Active Directory option from the dropdown list. Name: Enter the name that will be assigned to the active directory. Description: Contains the description of the active directory. LDAP Gateway: Select the LDAP gateway that the active directory will use. Domain Name: Enter the domain name associated with the active directory. LDAP Group DN: Enter the "Distinguished Name" (DN) of the group that will be pulled from the active directory to Mirket. Attribute: Select the attribute profile that contains the necessary DC attributes for the active directory. SAM: Enter the SAM value of the active directory. In Mirket, user identification is done using the SAM (Security Account Manager) name. This is preferred over the standard username. This username is used for authentication and access controls. Sync Period: Specify how frequently the selected group will be synchronized.

After filling in the required fields, click the Save button. Then, the active directory will be successfully created.

Created active directory are listed in the Configuration > External Source tab.

The created LDAP group is manually synced for the first time. Sync the active directory from the menu on the right side of the active directory.

To edit an active directory, click the Edit option from the menu on the right side of the active directory. This will redirect you to the Edit page. The Edit page has the following two main sections:

Overview: Displays detailed information about the active directory, but does not allow editing in this field.

Settings: You can edit the active directory's Name, Description, LDAP Gateway, Domain Name, Attribute, SAM, and Sync Period values. Note: After the active directory is created, the “LDAP Group DN” and "Source Type" values cannot be modified.

On the Edit page, you can sync, access the report page, or delete the active directory via the Actions button on the top-right corner.
